Drawing at Bella Vista Farm

I stumbled apon this marvelous piece of Australian history one afternoon. Amazingly, this is where Elizabeth MacArthur first bred Merino sheep which of course is very important in terms of Australian pastoral history. It was simply magical to walk around the farm virtually untouched. Later we were privileged to host a drawing session during a public open day. It was great to think that for perhaps the first time in a very long time children were drawing a part of our history on location. The Friends of Bella Vista hosted a really great day. Angela, Gareth and myself had a truly inspirational time.

Here is an interesting interview about the history of the Bella Vista Farm:

Signed Roocci Painting raises $6000 for "Forever Green"

Roocci donated a painting of Steve Waugh's locker for the charity event 'Forever Green' on February 17th at the Hordern Pavillion this year. The Charity is for children who have a disease, an illness or an affliction that doesn’t meet the set criteria of other charitable organisations. The painting was signed by Steve Waugh and auctioned live at the foundation dinner for $6000 as part of a very successful night for the charity.
